Understanding Medical Interventions
This class will review all of the different types of medical interventions that can happen in a hospital or birthing center. You will understand the pros and cons of each one and learn how to make the most informed decisions about your labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period.
Newborn Care Class
Learn the basics of newborn care including baby's first bath, swaddling, feeding, and sleeping. This class will go over all the tricks and tips you need to know first for the few days and weeks of your little one's life.
Flourish Feeding- Preparing for Breastfeeding
Led by IBCLC Alicea Sabella, this interactive class will give you the tools you need to reach your infant feeding goals. Topics to be covered include breastfeeding benefits, colostrum and the transition to mature milk, positioning, and alignment for you and your baby, how to latch and how to know if your infant is getting enough milk, breast and nipple care, hand and expression pumping, and more.
Postpartum Planning
Join one of our postpartum doulas in this workshop as we review the 5 pillars of a successful postpartum plan: sleep needs & expectations, feeding & newborn care, family dynamics, nutrition & herbal healing, and sourcing your community.
Meditation for Pregnancy & Birth
Join yoga teacher & doula Julia Alvarez to learn simple meditations you can practice at home for pregnancy and birth. Meditating during pregnancy helps you connect to your baby and feel confident in your ability to birth. During labor, affirmations and meditative breathing settles your nervous system to keep hormones flowing and helps you stay present and able to cope. This workshop will teach you different methods of meditation & breathing techniques for each phase so you will feel ready for labor.

Postpartum Support Group
Bring your babies and meet us for a postpartum support group at the office! This is a chance to share how you’re feeling, meet other new moms and receive advice and guidance from each other. Each week we will touch on a different theme, such as feeding, sleeping, infant massage, birth story processing, and more. This is a safe space and open to all, but most babies attending are under 6 months old.
Maternal Journaling
Using art and creativity as a way of processing childbirth and motherhood.
In these workshops, we do creative journaling around the multilayered experience of motherhood. We write, doodle, draw and paint. This is an opportunity to connect with each other around the shared experience of motherhood. Mothers in all stages of motherhood are welcomed: pregnant mothers, moms to littles, and moms to bigs.
